Today is PAC-MAN 30th Anniversary.Happy Bithday PA-MAN.We celebrate Pac-Man 30th Anniversary with entuziasm.Pac-Man 30th Anniversary is a special day. With this ocasion you can play Pac-man on google.A day like today, in 1980, the programmer Hideyuki Mokajima presented a video game named for the Japanese “paku” meaning food.
That year they released Namco Arcade Pac-Man, a title that stands today and has had a number of versions and adaptations.
To celebrate 30 years of legendary Pac-Man, Google paid a tribute to their style. From the home page of the browser you can play the game. The maze is the name of the Internet giant inside.
Since Pac-Man was introduced was a success. It became a worldwide phenomenon in the gaming industry, and ended with the rules imposed by Space Invaders. He finished with ‘action shoot-em-up (shoot all)’ to replace a single, violent humor and little girls like boys as well. This also appeared in the short Pixels, whose role is to devour the subway stations of New York.
The game’s name comes from the Japanese onomatopoeia paku, which is the sound produced by opening and closing the mouth. The name is romanized as Puck-Man in Japan (in English puck like pac is pronounced in Spanish), but modified it to Pacman Midway for the U.S. market (and later other Western markets) because they wanted to prevent people maliciously alter the Puck word to be read as fuck.
First it was known as “Puckman” but in the United States changed its name to make the name we all know. A computer specialist has led more than a year and a half to create it but it served to be a reference for a generation.
Over the years, the Pac-Man became the biggest selling game of all time.
